Spotlight on Bull Rider : Braydon Wellby

Braydon Wellby, a 26-year-old from Townsville, has emerged as a rising star in the Professional Bull Riding circuit and is set to wow the crowd this October as part of the Great Northern Bullriding Series - an exciting and central component of Savannah in the Round’s 2023 program! 

Whether he’s competing nationally or on the international stage, Braydon’s trophy stand is a testament to his unwavering dedication and natural talent. 

Key achievements:

• Represented Australia three years (2014, 2015 & 2016) in a row at the National High School Finals Rodeo, achieving 10th in the World in Bull Riding and 11th in the world in Steer Wrestling (2016)
• 2015 ABCRA Rookie Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling & All Round Champion
• 2015 Ultimate Cowboy - Calgary, Canada, Fourth Place
• 2017 ABCRA NQ Zone Bull Riding Champion
• 2017 Atherton PBR & Gladstone PBR Winner
• 2017 PBR, Fourth Overall (Australia)
• 2018 ABCRA NQ Zone Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding and All Round Champion
• 2018 Malanda Bull Ride & Tully Bull Ride Winner
