Savannah in the Round 2020 Postponed|SVN1234

17 June 2020

Hi [Name,fallback=there],

right

Thanks so much for taking the time to become a supporter, and welcome to the Savannah in the Round Country Music & Camping Festival community.

What a wild ride 2020 has already been!

As many of you already know, back in March we were all set to announce our rockin’ lineup and get on sale. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans for everyone, and, as you might expect, we must postpone the inaugural Festival to October 2021.

An event of this size, particularly in its first year, requires extensive planning, marketing and lead-time, and in light of the constantly evolving public health advice in terms of mass gatherings, Savannah in the Round was simply not viable in 2020.

But on to the great news...!

SAVANNAH IN THE ROUND 2021

ARTISTS

right

Savannah 2021 is going to be SPECTACULAR. Taking place over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (1-3 October), we are so excited to bring a world class event to a region that’s passionately supported country music and culture for decades.

We’ll be announcing the lineup shortly, bursting out of the gates with a rock solid, who’s who of Aussie Country. Then, as international travel restrictions and impacts become more predictable over the coming months, we’ll add some international flavour to the program.

THE FESTIVAL - COVID CLEAN & SAFE

COVID-19 has changed the way festivals like ours will operate. You can rest assured we’ll be restructuring the ticketing, layout and traffic flows so that the safety of our performers, crew, volunteers and audience are safeguarded at every juncture.

Furthermore, Savannah in the Round’s OH&S Managers are contributing to a broader industry panel to assist in policy development for Queensland Health and other regulatory authorities around how best to operate camping and music festivals in the post-COVID world. Rest assured, this event will be 100% compliant for the safety of all participants.

TICKETS ON SALE SOON

right

Tickets will be sold in both stages and zones, in accordance with the latest mass gathering regulations. For instance, you’ll have the opportunity to select from:

  • moshpit and camp chair zoned tickets,
  • camp chair only zoned tickets, or
  • grandstand zoned tickets.

We will release the tickets for each of these three zones in stages, with fresh batches coming on sale as the limits on crowd numbers increase. You can get a sneak preview of how the ticketing zones work on the map here:

We’ll also ensure crowds and traffic flows are sensibly managed through careful site design (e.g. additional spacing between campsites, designated walkways etc.) and will operate two separate morning and late night stages to enable revellers to spread out safely and comfortably while enjoying a full day’s entertainment.

We recommend securing your tickets early to ensure you don’t miss out. To help, we’ll have a variety of flexible payment options available, including instalment options like Time to Pay.

CAMPING

right

We have a variety of camping options to suit everyone’s needs and budgets, each of which complies with the current COVIDSafe Guidelines. These include:

  • Medium powered or unpowered campsites (up to four people)
  • Small unpowered campsites (up to two people)
